Lumina is glad to announce our recent placement, after working closely with International SOS. Mark Frankel is joining UK-based International SOS as their new Director of Content Operations, managing a research team, while overseeing all data analysis feeding into a range of International SOS content products.
International SOS is the world’s leading medical and security services company with over 12,000 employees working in 1,000 locations in 90 countries. Led by 5,200 medical professionals and 200 security specialists, they can work 24/7 to find solutions to protect clients in whatever situation they may be facing; they assess, advise and assist from a medical, security and logistical perspective to help safeguard the client’s global workforce through providing invaluable local knowledge and expertise on a global scale. They provide the knowledge enabling clients to maintain workforce resiliency by identifying and mitigating threats and risks to their employees and operations.
We reached out to Mark Frankel for an update on how he has been settling into his new role.
“This is a truly collaborative job. It’s primarily an editorial-facing role but with much else besides. I have responsibility for how our content is presented to internal stakeholders and external clients. This means working closely with many talented experts – from researchers and editors, medical and security professionals, product and engineering colleagues and our marketing and sales team. We’re on a journey to refine the user experience for our content and to ensure that our clients are being served with the most relevant information, advice, and analysis wherever and whenever they need it. There’s plenty to do but no shortage of talent and experience across the business to help us get there.
I have been bowled over by the breadth and depth of knowledge and experience amongst my colleagues. I can see already numerous opportunities to extend the reach and impact of our content as we work to improve our content management systems and introduce a variety of multimedia treatments. There’s so much we can do to add value to the medical and security assistance that clients already receive and I’m excited by the opportunity to play a small part in helping colleagues to deliver this.”
Lumina wishes Mark Frankel all the best in his new role.
