After a successful search by Lumina, it is our pleasure to announce Mark Hirzberger-Taylor as the new CEO of the Glasgow–based Park Circus Group. He will join Park Circus in March 2019 and reports to Park Circus’ Chairman, John Woodward.
Park Circus is home to a library of over 25,000 classic films from many of the major US studios and British indies. With offices in Glasgow, London and Los Angeles, they restore and release classics for one-off screenings and celebrations, licensing over 20,500 theatrical screenings globally. Park Circus was acquired by Thomas Hoegh’s Arts Alliance in 2014.
Having graduated from the University of Leeds, Hirzberger-Taylor soon embarked on a career with United International Pictures, becoming a key executive transforming the organisation’s international operations in Indonesia, Austria and Turkey during his time. He has distributed films from Universal, Paramount, Dreamworks Animations and MGM, plus local German productionsIn 2014, Hirzberger-Taylor moved from UIP’s Austrian division to head up its Turkish office as General Manager for a further two years. Since then, he has consulted for leading industry bodies and businesses, including Austrian Film Institute and Paramount Pictures International in Vienna.
With his announcement as the new CEO for Park Circus, Hirzberger-Taylor will return to the UK to take up the helm of a leading film distributor and sales business. We would like to wish him the best of luck in his new role.
